I was one of three non-Classical buyers for a 40 store chain in Michigan (Harmony House). I used to deal with consignments. There were so many people releasing music in the Detroit area, I had to enlist the services of an indie sales rep to act as middleman; I couldn't keep up with all the consignment requests.

One of the more memorable ones was Kid Rock selling us "Early Morning Stoned Pimp" out of the back of his car. I was once even called in to give a deposition when he was being sued by the mother of his son over the song "Black Chick, White Guy" which I believe was settled out of court.
