Mythic Sunship - Land between Rivers. Excellent guitar work. That was suggested to me privately by Spyros but he forgot to mention it here !

Many thinks for starting this thread. Like spacefreak this is the kind of thing I find I am mostly interested in lately, and find myself skimming the Stoner thread looking to find.

Now I have to find a good hour to catch up on the tasty recs.

We talked about Land Between Rivers in the Stoner thread. But sure, let's put it in its true home...

    I love this stuff!

It belongs in either thread. The stoner thread needed to branch out to garner all the pages it has gotten. That said, I have tried this sort of companion thread on a few occasions, only to see them die. Hopefully this one will take off; though so far, it seems to be the same small group of us posting recs!

I remember trying to search up the Heavy Psych one a few moths ago, but could not find it.

Yeah, I got lots of great recommendations from that thread, but it is hard to find.

Dreamtime needs to be here... I haven't heard their latest yet, but here's a 2012 release:

I finally found the old thread Yves started!

    Modern Day 'Heavy' Psychedelic Influenced...

    I can't believe I didn't subscribe to it...

You need to listen to it asap. In my opinion it's their best and a masterpiece of modern psych.

Well, an uncategorisable band. Mostly rooted in metal (I personally label them as avant doom), with many post-industrial influences that give their music an otherwordly aura. Excellent band!

Yeah, i thought it might not be a perfect fit for this thread, but figured, what the hell, i dig it and thought it might be close enough.I don't give a shit that they call themselves"occult metal" or whatever.I like that there are no vocals, and i also dig that they don't generally relay on riffs,.It gives the music a more "out" sound, at least to me.This cd is a keeper.

You'll find that the participants of this thread, and the stoner thread, don't have a stick up our asses when it comes to a "perfect fit". Like the music itself, close enough is good enough!

Their Occult Rock double disk is my favourite of theirs... Excellent from start to end! And yes, they fit in here; my stylistic comment intervention was just an orientational remark as to where their music is derived from...
