    We used to live in Astoria, Queens (a largely Greek neighborhood) so I had a lot of fresh, grilled octopus there. Delicious.

    Yeah, right after I posted that someone posted a video on Facebook showing how smart they are. My wife's always saying the same.

    Now for the thoroughly creepy and macabre...

    During an annual festival, the priests of Xipe Totec would wear the flayed skin of sacrificial victims (flayed whole, like a scuba suit) for twenty days. The skin peeling away from the priest would represent the husk peeling away from the corn inside.
