What a freaking flake Debbie is. What the hell was she talking about? She made it over the balance beam in 30 seconds while it took the other woman 10 minutes? Either the edit of the show was way off the truth, or Debbie is delusional.

I love Michaela. She is annoying, but I love her drive and sense of humour. When she pulled out the cup and started drinking water from it like Tribal Council was High Tea, I cracked up.

Just to ram that point home, notice they even gave us a quick instant replay of the huddle before the challenge, where FlakyDebbie used her "gymnast pitch" on Culpepper to do the balance beam in the first place.

She is so delusional it hurts the eyes to see.

Whinge, winnge, whinge ... "AND I'M PISSED!!"

    10 minutes later ... "I play it cool - I don't get pissed"

    and

"Yes, first one over" (the wall).

5 minutes later ... "Hey Brad, did you see that I was the first one over the wall?"

    Etc, etc...
    Regards,

    Duncan

I have to give Brad credit for keeping his cool (at least that's how the edit portrayed it). I think she's very lucky that they didn't have to go to TC.

I can't stand her either. I think she's smart, but is a total, sore-loser bitch. She can't handle any sort of criticism and everything has to be her way.

All true, but at the same time I kind of like her. Can't put my finger on why.

For some reason my DVR only recorded the first 18 minutes last night. Will have to try to catch it On Demand.

    Until this one!

Heartrending, and the little policewoman's speech will pull a tear to anyone's eye. She just became my favorite player.

Three off-the-wall TCs in a row. These guys really are game changers...
    Regards,

No kidding! There's a part of me that wonders if that was partially planned, however. If Varner, Zeke, Jeff and the producers knew about it. The rest of the cast were obviously surprised and caught off guard. But I can't help but wonder if that was a ratings ploy.

I was also moved by the cop's speech and how she was able to use this as an example of how she's grown. I find it interesting that this TC happens in the same episode that the other tribe were talking about how playing this game changed them. I see a theme to this episode.

Zeke showed a lot of class. Varner, disappointingly, not so much.

I do not feel this was a ratings ploy. Not at all. Varner wouldn't go for being one of THE most hated people just for the show. I think this just played out as we saw it. I'm sure the producers knew about Zeke. Remember, the contestants have to undergo physical exams. I am certain (without proof to back it up) that Zeke disclosed this during that process, or along the way somehow.

What a heart Zeke has. A truly great guy.

Yeah, there were heavy emotions while we watched this. I can't even type any more thoughts about this right now.

Putting on my cynic's hat for a few moments - I wouldn't be surprised if Zeke wins the whole thing as a result of this...

Possibly. However, we will see in the next episode what he wants to do. He and his tribe may agree to remain hush-hush when they merge. If so, half of the contestants will view only his game play going forward without any sentiment toward his situation.

Jeff Probst, Zeke, and Varner have responded. Zeke's is an especially good read.

Zeke writes about his feelings regarding the incident -- The Hollywood Reporter:
'Survivor' Contestant Opens Up About Being Outed as Transgender (Guest Column)

    from Entertainment Weekly:
Survivor: Jeff Probst reacts strongly to Jeff Varner outing Zeke as transgender

Those were very interesting reads. Although I have to admit to a TMI moment in Zeke's article...

Thanks for posting those links, I really enjoyed reading them. Varner was the news anchor for WWMT here in Kalamazoo for 5 years from around 2007 to 2011, so he is very well known in these parts. I think this is a move he will regret for the rest of his life.

GREAT moment with Circe getting "voted" out. I was hoping that that situation would happen (all immunity idols played, everyone but one person is safe), though I did like her so it's nothing personal against her.

I'm almost surprised how it seemed there was zero discussion to vote out sarah headed into the final 3. (at least nothing of worth to show) What wonderful hubris that Culpepper has.

Good to know how the tie breaker works for the finals though!

    Overall, a great season IMO.
