    RIP Professor Irwin Corey 102!

Geez. Just saw this on Facebook. 102 years old! Makes all the old Abe Vigoda RIP's seem pale by comparison.

He was a hoot in his day tho........

I didn't know he was still alive, but I loved him and saw him twice in the 60s.

    RIP you madman!

I always got him confused with Professor Stanley Unwin!

I can't find a link right now but I remember a story of Vince Guaraldi (pianist - Charlie Brown) going after the Professor one night at the Hungry i in San Francisco for an insulting tirade while both were performing there. Seems like an unlikely pairing!....

I didn't realize it at the time of course, but Corey's act was not dissimilar to the British Stanley Unwin -- who plied his trade on "Ogden's Nut Gone Flake."
