Steely Dan to do 9 Show Residency in Las Vegas

I'm wondering why they hadn't done this before. The combination of their world view and Sin City seem to be a perfect match. Of course it would have been even better when the set list was a little less set in stone and Donald's voice was in better shape.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

I love the name of the show: "Reelin' In The Chips".

I caught them last summer and they were right-on, but, yeah, Fagin's voice is showing wear & tear.

This seems like a good idea, but I bet they're going to get some strange crowds.

Too bad they don't record new albums any more. When they initially got back together they were touring and recording (I thought 2000's Two Against Nature was very good).

    2 Cali dates added-
Monday April 17 Humphrey's - San Diego CA
Tuesday April 25 SB Bowl - Santa Barbara CA

I thought The Donald sounded just fine a few months ago.
