    RIP Nearfest website

I just noticed the Nearfest website has been taken down. To be honest I'm surprised it was there for as long as it was. I would check back occasionally and just now noticed it is finally gone. I saw a post on facebook about this so I knew it was coming. Oh well. The end of an era.

The era ended long ago; no one bothered to remove its virtual corpse until now is all.

Hmm... I liked it being there and would reference past lineups a few times a year. RIP

The Facebook page was posting the lineups for a while I suppose for us all to see one last time what bands played when.

    You could look web.archive.org www.nearfest.com/
Not perfect, but it's gonna be there. That was the last snapshot that was taken on October 26.

I was just thinking about NEARfest the other day. Thinking that a band like Seven Impale, who I really dig, would be the type of band that they would book. RIP, indeed.

Have you ever heard of Progday? They could easily play there also.

I'm still pissed I missed the last two NEARfests.

depends on ProgDay's budget. "easily" is a stretch.

Heard of, and been to. And though they do get some European acts (from Sweden and Italy come to mind), bringing over a band from Norway might not be that easy. But hey, I would love it, if they did!

Damn, I was still active on the forum there, though it was only me.
