You are absolutely essential. Music wouldn't sound good without you bassists. 😊

Awesome! Is there a Boston chapter? If so, I'll join!
I feel appreciated, but it wasn't always like this. I carried the band's equipment, got all the gigs, bought new guitars, drums, keyboards and a PA.
I gave them my gig money. I even bought them tickets to concerts whenever they felt the urge to attend. I passed all the groupies over to
the band members and picked up the tab for recording. Was it so wrong? Did they take advantage of me, or should I go ahead and pay their mortgages?
What to do? What to do?
What do you call a beautiful woman on a bass-player's arm?
A tattoo.
What do you call a bass-player without a girlfriend?
Homeless.
I was/am a bass player, as far as live on stage (I play several instruments, but live, Bass is my instrument). I als have a good lead voice, so I sing too. I've never had issues with being the "murderface" of the band.
I got nothin' :
...avoiding any implication that I have ever entertained a cognizant thought.
