I love how Mick's harp playing is back, meshing with those guitars. On the Hoffman forum they complain that the recording is bad and it's a little too loud. I think some of that is deliberate, they wanted this sounding as rough as a badger's ass.

I also have strong feeling for Kristen Stewart that I never had before. Mercy!
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

In these days of over-polished but soulless turds, I thought the sound of this record was a wonderful return to the "live in the studio" (and recorded in three days I see) rough-and-ready almost garage rock sound. Perfectly fits the material, perfectly fits the heavily weathered voices, perfectly fits the minimalist (and old school) instrumentation. In short, everything fits together like it was meant to be.

Especially when you're a high profile rock star.

Amazing that his swimmers still have tails though.

Jagger keeps himself in shape. I'm not too surprised. Kristen Stewart, well what can you say about that? She is quite fetching.

I don't hear one thing wrong with how Blue & Lonesome sounds. It's everything a long time Stones fan could have hoped for. It's made to be listened to on vinyl.
