Thread: Best Prog Songs for Halloween

  1. #51
No Residents mentions yet? I basically had nothing but "Duck Stab/Buster and Glen" on for the entirety of last night, it certainly set the mood.

Thanks for the update! I vote for a CD for the masses plus a hi-rez download for audiophile geeks.

Dee Snider put out a Halloween-themed band/album/tour a bunch of years ago with Mark Wood on violin, Joe Franco on drums and Al Pitrelli on guitar. Some good stuff on there.

”Heresy Flank” by JG Thirlwell & Simon Steensland from 2020 album Oscillospira. Dark, heavy and complex. And spooky as hell.

    Mechanical Bride - Steve Hackett

    Dance into the meat grinder
    Ethnic cleansing sharp reminder
You're no better than the other side
Just can't hide the Mechanical Bride

    Electric chair burned hair
Framed fried you could be there
    Wedded to remaining dumb
You just can't hide the Mechanical Bride

    Fox hunt bullfight animals' curse
Born again with the roles reversed
    Enter the arena under-rehearsed
You just can't hide the Mechanical Bride
