Ampacity: Instrumental Prog/Fusion/Space Band From Poland

Fantastic band from Poland! This is so good that I think I may get up to 5 of you to enjoy it! ( I like to aim high...).

Listen to their sophomore release from 2015 below. Their debut is also very strong but maybe not as streamlined as this one.

Fun stuff, and I get to be the first of five

    Thanks for the heads up!
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Listening to the first track on Bandcamp right now, and this is tight! Very interesting combination of elements. I like it.

Ain't no stopping this train, man...we're on course for double digits

All jesting aside...it's definitely cool stuff. Interesting that it was mostly pieced together from rehearsal improvs too.

Somehow we got this far without one fairly important tidbit of information: https://ampacity.bandcamp.com/

I guess it should be a candidate for featured new release then huh?

Oh Yves, you crazy fool. You know you had me at "instrumental prog fusion space".
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

yes, it is actually quite similar to the featured new release up now!

the first 20 minutes of this thing was deliciously BRUTAL! ... I had to take a nap and come back to it later, then it mellowed for 7 minutes before returning to the aural onslaught. I LIKE IT

the featured new release Human Factor, though quite similar is not quite as brutal as Ampacity but definitely the same wheelhouse
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

It's from 2015 so in my book, that's not "new" which is why I did not go the featured new release route.. I'm glad people are giving it a shot and enjoying it. Sometimes you post stuff here thinking there's an audience for it only to see the thread slip into oblivion after only 4 or 5 posts.

These guys are on Instant Classic, a label with a bunch of cool bands:

Stara Rzeka is (was) outstanding, and if you like Ampacity be sure and check out Merkabah also.
