Nice show, combination of Electric stuff from his latest album, his back catalog, some RTF and some acoustic Beatles.
My tastes would have run towards more of his solo stuff, but all in all a nice cross selection of his career.
I always thought he was somewhat arrogant, which I overlooked given his prodigious chops. This show was moved
from The Rams Head On stage to the Maryland Center for the creative arts, nice clean comfortable venue, free parking, good
acoustics. Being as this was the last show of the tour, after the concert Al introduced his daughter, who in short shirt, he asked her to take
a bow, 'but not too low' pretty funny line. He thanked his band and introduced each one individually, giving some insight
into them. One was this huge violin player - who Al met when he drove from Detroit to Toronto where Al was playing and then
auditioned for Al in his dressing room. Found out he was from the 'hood' and a big fan of Al's stuff and nailed playing his songs. So Al wanted
him in his band and added him.
Saw the human side of Al last night with this after show talk, he seems to be genuine caring human being, never glimpsed that side of him before,
perhaps this has developed in his later years, he's now 62.
