Can't help thinking that TFATD have been exposed to Von Frickle.....not a bad thing at all and I may be entirely off base. Maybe it's the mask thing working on me subliminally.

The closest is Harrisburg, the cheapest is usually Baltimore. We have flown into both. Harrisburg is a lot smaller airport, so less hassle, and only about a half hour or so away, but from where I live it usually costs a bit more. Baltimore was about an hour away if I remember right, more traffic, and huge airport, but still pretty close.
I think many of you will enjoy TFATD a lot, and you wont get a nicer guy than MAtt Stevens.
Wow, Rosfest booking not one, but two(!) instrumental bands?! As others have said, I was a long time NEARfest goer, who has so far passed on Rosfest due to less diversity (certainly no disrespect to those who love this festival). This makes things interesting.

Two? what do you mean? doesn't 20 seconds of singing in Swedish over a 20 year period eliminate anglagard from being "instrumental"?
kidding aside, i agree...in the few years i've been going to rosfest, i don't recall an all instrumental band. (well, maybe 'might could', but they weren't on the main stage.)
additionally, unified past is probably 50% instrumental - at least the album "spots".
looking forward to the next few announcements because, honestly, other than anglagard, there's nothing really drawing me in this time.
I recall Electric Asturias and Lazuli at Rosfest, both instrumental bands.
I hope no-one was referring to Anglagard(I apologize for the lack of umlauts; just lazy I guess) as one of those instrumental bands. There was quite a bit of singing in Swedish on their debut Hybris.
Well, you may disagree, but Anglagard is very prominently known as an instrumental band. A few vocals, in one song, on their first album, certainly doesn't change that, for me. Also, in the three times that I've seen them, only at the NJ Proghouse, when they were playing Hybris in full, did they utter a peep. Both NEARfest shows, were completely instrumental.
Of course, what really matters, is that they are a good band.

Lazuli is not instrumental in the least...unless French lyrics sound that much like an instrument to you.
But Rosfest has indeed had other instrumental bands in the past.
Fair enough. I guess I'll have to listen again to their first album at some point. It's been a while and I don't currently own it. I guess you could say the same about Happy the Man then. They had some vocals too but if people want to consider them primarily instrumental then that makes sense to me. They probably had even more vocals than Anglagard(especially on their better late than never third album)
Does anyone know if Anglagard are working on new material?

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
We have a song with 2 sung words. Are we out of the instrumental band club too?
