Thanks. I always thought Larry Magid was a tech reporter out here in the Bay Area. I guess there's two of him.

And his gushing about Brian Lane (eek), "Owner is my favorite Yes song...", and how wonderful Union was makes me think this project is a very tightly managed and promoted affair. Lots of big business guys running around...

And that tour schedule -- talk about aggressive. Hell, they're playing two shows in the Bay Area (San Jose and San Francisco). I can't recall the last time Yes ever did that.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

Not sure Jon's voice can handle that schedule.

Hopefully Rabin will be giving him a lot of support, and he won't have to carry more of a load than he can handle night to night.

I fear that they have bitten off more than they can chew here. I really hope I'm wrong...I'd like to see at least some part of the Yes universe packing out the venues.

Good to see Trevor Rabin calling out the 'Rock Hall for the continued snub of Yes.

will be interesting to see----and I never thought I'd hear the sentence from a Yes fan---"what's the one Yes song you want to hear? Owner of a Lonely heart."

I think the Anderson-Ponty band was a real test on how Jon's voice will hold up fronting a full band again. Jon was doing the solo acoustic act for quite some time but that wouldn't strain his vocal chords nearly as much as a band. I hope he can hold it together for this. He's been on the road for quite some time now.

Actually it's Larry Magid doing the calling out.

I don't understand why they're pushing such a stressful tour. I mean, I get it, money, but wouldn't it be better for everyone (except Magid or Lane) to give Anderson a little break?

I'm excited that Anderson has been so active, but I can't see how he's going to hold up here. His vocals on the Stolt project aren't exactly strong.

This thread kills me. This tour went from being a disaster to being great to being a disaster before the first performance.

I'll go see them at the Beacon---if I can. Does anyone know if this is going to be a mainly Yes west thing----is the set list out anywhere?

Considering that they haven't played a show yet, I don't think any setlists have been reported. But there's no doubt that they'll be out there after the first show.

I'd think that it would be at least 1/3 if not 1/2 YesWest.

And lo, the skies opened and the 666th Yes thread on the main board was created...and verily, twas as neurotic as every yes thread ever.

And Brian Lane was well pleased.
