I like those albums but would add - When does BC sound like BC?
He has been a clever chameleon all the way.

Are you thinking of Scott Jones?

Found him: Derryl Gabel. Goodness me, my night is saved. Turns out he actually had two albums released. He also has his own YouTube channel where he has a lot of videos on the legato technique as well as interpreting some of Holdsworth songs.

Here is a video where he has a few guest guitarists, and they all sound, more or less, like the master himself.

I'd like to mention in this thread - due to AH influence - the Greek guitar virtuoso Yiannis Apostolidis (RIP)

Agree on this period of Connors. What a radical change from Return to Forever to these records! He went from being fairly individualistic to Holdsworthian. Kind of pointless, really.

I once heard a John Farnham tune where there was a Holdsworthian guitar solo. Never found out who it was.

Great Scott! That's sounds rather heroic!

Must be Brett Garsed. Great guitar-player.

Have you heard his latest? Very different from the early atmospheric ECM-ish vibe, and certainly he's given up the Holdsy clone vibe.

AFAIK his latest solo record was "Return" released in 2005. I think the last time he appeared on a record was with RTF in 2009 on "Forever". I think he's mostly giving private lessons currently. Hopefully, he'll make another record but I seriously doubt it.
