    Stick Men - Prog Noir

Man, they're so much better than that sub-Flower-Kings-leftovers title suggests. Wonder how it'll come across to listeners who don't know the band already...

I like how it sounds, but then I like the band already. Scratches my "King Crimson feel" itch damned nicely.

I'm tempted to go for the box thingy, but mainly just for the 2nd CD...might be a bit pricey just for one extra disc. We shall see!
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Also, Ephemeral Sun: it's a thing and we like making things that might be your thing: https://ephemeralsun.bandcamp.com

I'm getting the CD version for sure and will hope to be able to buy the extras as a download at some point later. Would love one of the tee shirts (cool cover) but don't need the LP's.

Yeah...I'd love to get the second CD, but I absolutely have no need for vinyl and all the extra crap that makes it that expensive. Shame, but so it goes.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Same here. Think I'll go for the CD only as well.

From the Stick Men FB page:

Mel Collins in the court of the Stick Men, live shows in Japan only.
February 18 in Osaka, February 20 and 21 in Tokyo (two shows night). Just announced a few days ago.
    Link for Osaka shows: http://www.billboard-live.com/pg/shop/show/index.php…
    Link for Tokyo shows: http://www.billboard-live.com/pg/shop/show/index.php…

Well, I won't be in Japan any time soon, but hopefully these get recorded just like the shows with Cross were.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

Wel I can answer that. When I asked Pat about this (recording the shows for a sort of "Midori II" release), he replied:

Pat Mastelotto (Official) replied to your comment on their photo.

    More vocals? Huh.

Can't say that's ever been my favorite side of the group, but I trust they've found a fitting way to take it in a new direction.

Not generally a huge "remix" fan, but I really enjoyed this:

Track 6 is the other 5 tracks assembled into one. Free, but I paid a buck for that track.

Got the email too, and was planning on listening to this, but now, based on your comments, I'm really looking forward to it!

I've kinda been getting tired of hearing that song, but this gives it some new life, IMO.

HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY BASSMASTER TONY LEVIN!

    https://youtu.be/QSb6OTVpGQM

I had the honor and pleasure meeting Tony when he was touring with California Guitar trio at the Mucky Duck in Houston, TX

Enjoy this in depth interview with Tony Levin as much as I did, he is a Bass legend, Stick Pioneer and a class musician :-)

He may have contributed to more Prog albums than anyone ever!

I probably should have mentioned that aspect of the remix, but I figured he likely doesn't come in here.

    Thanks.

Saw this live but the connection was dodgy at times so it will be nice to watch the uninterrupted version of this.

Tried to ask what he thought of Buddy Rich but it never got answered.
