Problems with Wilson's Expanded Remix Releases

I would like to own a few of the Steve Wilson expanded remix releases................a few from YES and a few others, perhaps.

I read somewhere about a big problem with people buying these and having troubles playing them in certain hardware equipment.............mainly, SONY Blu-Ray players.
Can someone here, please summarize the issue ?
Which discs work well...............and which discs do not ?
Is the problem simply with SONY ?
    What are the options ?

In general, the issue is update related. BluRay players occasionally require updates. Your player should have a feature to check for updates.
The problems are a Sony issue, not an issue with the discs.

I did have one issue with a Steven Wilson remix, but it was a DVD-Audio disc. The issue was on Close To The Edge, the 5.1 DVD-Audio mix.
My Oppo would not play the disc from the beginning in 5.1. What I had to do was select track 2 (And You and I) and press the track back button to access the title track. I suspect it might have something to do with low volume sound (the aviary/birds sounds) for 30-45 seconds.

I have an OPPO and have had no problem with CTTE, Relayer, Nonsuch, or Oranges and Lemons.

Nostalgia, you know, ain't what it used to be. Furthermore, they tells me, it never was.

My Oppo is a 231HD, which is a pre-BluRay universal player. The disc was DVD-Audio, not BluRay. DVD-Audio doesn't require updates, so that wasn't the issue. I've had no problems with other discs in DVD-A.
I had no problem playing the BluRay version (yes, I got BOTH) of CTTE on my Panasonic BluRay player.

Maybe one day I'll get the 500.00 for a Oppo BluRay player.
