    First 2-Day Prog Festival in Texas - Sept 17 & 18 (29 bands!)

Finally! A Prog Fest I don't have to drive or fly thousands of miles to attend.

It's in Austin and it's called the Voyager Music Festival or VoyagerFest.

Went to the 1st 1-day fest last year and it was great !!

29 bands were announced today for it. And just 50 BUCKS for both days !!!

Don't know how they will fit all these bands in a 2-Day festival but here's the festival website for more details plus a video of last years festival:

Any time any one speaks to me about any musical project, the one absolute given is "it will not make big money". [tip of the hat to HK]

"Death to false 'support the scene' prog!"

please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.

Wow, it's at The Spider House, not a venue I'd expect to have something like this, although they have some bizarre stuff. Check out their website for events like "Shit-faced Shakespeare"...

Wow! I just told my wife that I'm going to this. - The fight is on. Eventually we'll arrive at an agreement, and I may actually get to go.

It's about an 8 hour drive for me...which isn't bad at all considering I drive an equal distance to Denver quite often...but this falls on a bad weekend for me. I wanted to go last year too but ran into the same issue. Regardless, I hope that this continues to be an annual event--having an annual fest that I can plan for each year within driving distance would be nice.
