    Necro Deathmort - dark, electronic cinematic goodness

    Howdy PE Peoples and PE-Associated Peoples;

    Been enjoying these guys for a while now, but thought I might share with everyone. First off: Necro Deathmort? BEST BAND NAME. EVER.

    Secondly, this is some great electronic/atmospheric stuff with heavy leanings toward the usual holy trinity (Carpenter, Goblin, Vangelis circa Blade Runner). Their new one also adds elements of motorik grooves and more. It's lovely stuff that I'm pretty sure will appeal to some folks here (that's right dropforge, I'm looking squarely at YOU ).

    Two for the road:

    Happy listening!

    Vangelis circa Blade Runner
    That's what I immediately thought of when I heard the second track. Thanks for sharing.

    Their fanclub is named Succumbskulls Piece Corpse. They eat fresh baby flesh at shows. It's evil and highly political. Not right- or left- but hellwing.

    Oh heavens no! This is all heavily-coded conversation for a much better, more complex and intricate music

    For those looking to explore their other works...just for knowing: the earliest stuff ('The Colonial Script' and prior) was a bit harsher, ala black metal/electronic noise stuff. I like it lots too, but...fairly different. If you dig 'Ravvivando'-era Faust but with even more ambience/atmosphere, this might be of interest.

    The first ones that really explored this particular sound were the three EPs from a few years back (they are great, BTW).
