I got Bent Knee's new album Say So today. I have listened it already twice and it is just brilliant!

Listened to Say So twice now. I need more spins, as it hasn't resonated with me, like Shiny Eyed Babies....yet. Some of it I really like, but there is a big chunk in the middle of the record that I am still wrestling with. It just seems devoid of, to my ears at least, much rhythmic energy, and powerful riffage (and believe me, I listen to some pretty out there stuff). I'm all for adventurous, experimental music though, so I am hoping for that breakthrough to come.
Great live band, and I don't really draw much parallel between them and SGM, either. Although, thinking about it, I do see a somewhat similar approach, so perhaps it not surprising somebody might take it there.

I had never heard a note of their music before Say So but I am instant fan now. I have to get their earlier albums too.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Can't wait to see them at ProgDay. One of my favorite musical discoveries this year. After buying "Say So" and loving it I bought the other CDs from their bandcamp.
Hope they play more shows down south while they're here.
