Love the song, but not the singer.

Songs you like by the artists you don't.

Kiss is a good example of a band I don’t particularly care for, but do like some of their songs “Detroit Rock City” being a good example.

KC's Man With an Open Heart might be better with, maybe, Kate Bush on vocals?

Pete Sinfield is an excellent songwriter and a terrible singer.

I could make a long list of Yes and VDGG and early Genesis songs I love but rarely listen to because of the singers

    Refugee
    Nuova Idea
    Early Rush
    Eloy
    Later PFM

Although loving the songs would be pushing it.

So, you don't like Peter Gabriel's singing? And here I always thought PeterG meant Peter Gabriel, but it could be Peter Green, or just YOU.

Yepp, it just happens to be 2 names of my real full name. The initials of my full Irish name are P.J.P.G.D (Peter James Patrick G.D) And like most Spanish families, many Irish families also have the mother's maiden name as a middle name or first surname. Both the G and the D have the Irish (gaeilge) spellings.

Both my sons have the surnames of both their parents

    Conor Jakob Francis S.D
Gabriel Liam Peter S.D .....and there's the Gabriel anyway

Yeah, this is one of the better Kiss songs IMHO.

    PeterG ruined Genesis

The Nice & Jackson Height & Refugee

That Lee Jackson was the worst singer ever ... Worse than Johnny Rotten

    To my everlasting shame:

I’ve been known to enjoy “Teenage Daydream” and “California Gurlz” too. The latter is kind of a di-fecta, as it also features Snoop Dogg, who I also dislike (though I hesitate to call him a “singer”).

It's hard to love a song with a horrible singer, but one that comes to mind is VDGG's "Killer".

PeterG ruined Kate's Bush. Hate him!

His voice an acquired taste, actually ... What's a little more difficult to dig is his pretentiousness.

    YMMV, of course

Well, I suppose many people w/could say that Hammill ruined VdGG as his voice is at least a WTF, but in my case it wasa a repellant for almost two decades.

Jon's and Geddy's voice might have WTF'd many male teens/young adults as well (girls/women as well for Rush's case), but it was not my case.

Never met someone that WTF'd on The Gabe, though.

All the songs with lyrics by Greenslade. Musically top o' the heap, but Dave Lawson's voice. No thank you.

Looking forward to my day in court.

Walked into a bike shop today and 'Don't Give Up' was playing loud and clear and Gabriel sounded overwrought and strained. He even made Kate sound sweet. Reminded me of that dirge by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes.

As much as I hate to admit it there are several Katy Perry songs that I find very catchy.
