UK Honours Pink Floyd with Postage Stamps

This country has some of its priorities right! Though I think the Endless River one could have been skipped for something else, but whatever... There are a few others too.

Do you get high if you lick the stamps? Seems only natural, given the subject matter.

Dumb question: Do they even still use lickable stamps in the UK?

    None of them are Pink!

At last I can combine my stamp collecting with being a Prog fan

You're not very swift on the uptake, are you? Either that, or you didn't grow up in the 60s or 70s. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Really surprised that The Wall wasn't one of them.

There are more than in the first post - not sure if this covers them all:

They should have a "We don't need no education!" stamp!

I got the joke, dimbulb. That's why I asked whether it still makes sense to talk about licking stamps in the 21st century. It doesn't in the USA.

No, evidently you didn't get the joke, but you're still rabbiting on, unclear on the concept. What does it matter if the stamps are self-adhesive? If you were a person of a certain age and the stamps were laced you'd be licking them just the same. Get a clue, junior.

Whatever drugs you're doing, do yourself a favor and change them.

But evidently it's okay to sling insults like "dimbulb" and "rube" like it was a 1930s Jimmy Cagney movie. Very well. You two chiselers have some crust, coming off like pills to a regular joe. Why I oughta!

Wouldn't the Hammers stamp be kind of touchy in the UK?
The older I get, the better I was.

I recollect a young man putting the same question to Eddie the Dude. "Son," Eddie told him, "all you paid was the looking price. Lessons are extra."

Ah, sorry. "Rube" in this case is just short for "Ruben", being a quote from the film "The Burbs". I didn't realize it had another meaning.

Yes, I'd have switched The Endless River for The Wall.
