He becomes disillusioned (the end of Disc One song, "Fuck You, I'm Outta Here") and decides to chuck it all and become a hobo.

    Disc two is even better.
Is there a big keyboard solo towards the end of disc II ? I think I already own this then!

Transsubstantiation for the uneducated at no extra cost.

It's a good thing I don't pay much attention to Mike's hyperbole - if it really is like The Wall I'm not interested because I hated that album, so depressing. Most likely it will be another grandiose Neal Morse production with Mike's enthusiastic drumming driving the chariot... which is fine by me!!
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...

The twist is the drummer has a blue beard and is Jewish.

    A must buy then..................

i look forward to the new album by this lineup. The Grand Experiment was my introduction to Neal Morse. and since then i have all his solo Prog albums plus the first 5 Spock's Beard albums. my favorite is '?'.... there was mention on his FB page about a DVD of last year's tour coming this summer.

quick question... where are Thoughts part 3 & 4?

Well, normal, well-adjusted people aren't very interesting.

You have a point... Drug addled blind teenage psychotics with god complexes on busses, scooters and bicycles are pretty entertaining.

So are Walls for that matter.

    I blame The Who!

Tommy, lamb, blank planet, quadrophenia, comatorium.. I'm sure there are more? Great topic for another list! I'd add Aqualung but I think he was an old dude.

We need to see more tour dates including a few UK shows please.
Rumor is that they will be touring extensively in the first part of 2017, with The States starting in January, then CTTE, and likely the usual Europe stops and even South America sounds possible this time, and then Rosfest headliners. Will be interesting to see if they do the entire double album in sequence and then only play older material during the encore? Sounds like a 3+ hour concert to me!

I hope there is a song as cringe inducing as "Sleeping Jesus".

Hopefully it would include the omitted book of zeke the elder who wrote of Jesus teen years.

If it's like The Wall, then it must be about bass player Randy George's childhood. Of course, this means that he has effectively taken over the band. Poor Neal.

This is the best thread ever.

The Grand Experiment was his best solo album to date so it's going to be difficult to 'top' it?
    Looking forward to this!
    Why no UK dates though?

Rumors of a vial of Holy Water (blessed by Neal) and a dreidel auto-ed by Mike are part of the Deluxe Box Set have begun to surface.
