    Hopefully it's all fairly routine.

I once went to the emergency room because of intestinal flu - I'd never been so sick!

    (Sorry for misspelling his name.)

In a statement Sunday, the band announced that "complications from the intestinal flu" led to Kiedis' hospitalization.

"Anthony is expected to make a full recovery soon," the statement said.
Ironically, it apparently was not something he ate.

Yes, I saw RHCP back when their first album came out, in a small club, and I liked their first album. They were pretty awesome back then.

When I had a terrible intestinal flu, it definitely WAS exacerbated by something I ate - a dish with an s-load of garlic! It did not go down well at all. The only time I've been admitted to an emergency room.

Just had to take my daughter to urgent care for this thing Thursday night, the doctor says it's widespread throughout the southwest right now...

Hope she's feeling better. It sucks, but at least seems to be short lived from my experience.

Thanks, she's fast getting back to being her same ole bitchy 15-going-on-16-going-on-32-year-old self...

I heard there was a flu epidemic (40-50 cases) going on in the emergency housing up in Alberta among folks displaced by the McMurray wildfires. I wonder if it's the same one?

Shoot, we should've been riffing on this a day earlier, my son-in-law is Canadian, from Edmonton in fact, and he worked summers in the Ft McMurray region - we were talking about it last night at dinner, how the fires were affecting a lot of his family and friends up there - would've been interesting to find out if the flu's an issue at present...
