Just listened to Naomi's Solar Pumpkin, one of Ty's earlier solo albums. Man, this is what I like most about King's X! Great guitars, vocal melodies and harmonies! I always liked Ty's voice the best in King's X and this record shows how critical he is to their sound. Really a great record! Any others like this?

Safety is my fav of his, but the lyrical content is kinda depressing.

It's probably about a fifty minute drive from where I now live but I might go check out the New Hope show anyway.

No European tour, sniff... Would love to see those guys perform!

For the people who are interested, here's my interview I had with John Myung about The Jelly Jam: https://grendelhq.wordpress.com/2016...dream-theater/

Would love to see this!! Sadly, in the absence of a summer tour of the UK, or an autumn/winter tour of East Asia, it looks like I won't get the chance...

These guys suck at publicizing. Album #3 was months old before I ever heard a thing about it--mentioned here at PE, I think, otherwise I might have never heard at all--and this is the first mention I've ever seen of the fourth. The cover's a cute image, but the crossed-out-title thing is such a cliche (and seriously overkill, since the picture was more than un-subtle enough).

Still. I have enough residual affection for the first two albums to be curious.

Same here, I didn't hear about the 3rd one, "Shall We Descend" until long after it was released. Wasn't too thrilled with it compared to the first two, kinda dark too. I will still check out the new one though.
