Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
Well it makes a change from the dreary Wall, I'd be more interested in seeing this.
Now THAT I would love to see!!!
I don't see how you come to,the conclusion that the video on Facebook constitutes an announcement of Roger touring Animals. He's part of a massive concert in October in California with The Who, McCartney, Neil Young, Rolling Stones. I think it's more likely a teaser of that show.

Looks like its just promoting the California one off super concert.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Animals without Gilmour (or Wright, for that matter) is like Ian Anderson playing Thick as a Brick without Barre, Barlow and Evan....
Oh wait, Ian did that. And it sounded like absolute crap.

His website just shows in the news column, "October..."
The flying pig was used during his DSOTM concerst, no Animals tunes were played at that show. Also, the pig flew when "One Of These Days" was played in '94 by the 3 other Floydians. I believe this tease will be for the mega concert ( http://www.progressiveears.org/forum...erts-to-happen ) and Roger will play all of Dark Side again with some other cuts thrown in.
Gilmour joining him is a looooong-shot; DG has his summer tour still to come and then 4 nights at the RAH the end of September. Highly doubtful he & Waters join forces...until pigs fly of course.
"Henry Cow always wanted to push itself, so sometimes we would write music that we couldn't actually play – I found that very encouraging." - Lindsay Cooper, 1998
"I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew! This is not rocket science people, get a grip." - Roger Waters, 2014
"I'm a collector. And I've always just seemed to collect personalities." - David Bowie, 1973
But... But... I saw it on the Internet so it MUST be true!
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.
Can he still sing enough of the material that it would be worthwhile or is he going to lip sync like he's done in the past?
Color me intrigued thought about Gilmour and Mason possibly rejoining.
The only announcement I'm interested in from Waters is a release date for a new album. He should get Jimmy Page to play guitar. That way we get new material from two long slumbering giants and Waters will have made one record with each Yardbirds guitarist.

my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Audience members will set off "cherry bombs" on their smartphones, and one lucky person at each show will be "virtually" spat on by Roger.
ok... guess ol' Rog fooled me with the flying pigs
