First choice would have been Rypdal Chaser as posted by Dave (in MA). The Music Improvisation Co. w/ Jamie Muir and Derek Bailey has some fierce poop on it, Om w/ Christy Doran too. Contact Trio / Prints has moments. Since zutul didn't post a clip, here's a not so crisp copy of one from Everyman Band...Turn it up!

David Darling & Terje Rypdal - EOS

Only the opening track, "Laser". The rest is almost ambient/space music.

"Laser" draws a lot of complaints from the members of the ECM e-mail list.

Too bad i can't seem to find a YT clip for Lungs, from John Abercrombie's Timeless album.That track( the first half of it) lays down a rather heavy swinging vibe, as guitar and organ trade licks.Always dug that.

Timeless does indeed ROCK
as do some of the Rypdal albums like Blue and Chaser
