    Really stupid Jon Stark plan.

But I actually think they might have been using dragonglass daggers, when they captured the wight and later, on the island.

However, the producers failed to make this clear to the viewers, which is as good as not using the dragonglass, as far as I'm concerned.

Here's another idea. How about bringing a raven along in the first place?

My guess is this is just one more HBO FUBAR again. No way would GRRM be so sloppy. If we ever get to read how he decides to gift the Night King with a dragon, which is the pretty obvious plot point in hindsight.

Same question crossed my mind. The more I think about this episode, the more holes I am finding in it. I also think they are doing a few too many people in certain death situations suddenly being "saved". It has happened a lot this season and is kind of manipulative. The show is still spectacular, but I think the writing has been weaker than normal this season. Comparisons to the Walking Dead are not that far off.

Post show reviews are saying they were equipped with dragonglass but didn't make it explicit, they probably should have done, but the show runners seem to like lots of speculation going on.

I'm trying not to over think it and just enjoy the spectacle.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

I'm glad I'm not alone here. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the episode and the season, but GoT has set such a high bar, so when they slip below it, it really shows.

This Forbes reviewer sums it up nicely and offers a few plot alternatives.

Yea, me too, but this is the first season where these plot holes / devices have been so blatant.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the show very much. A lot of stuff goes over my head or just doesn't bother me that much when I notice it. The dragonglass thing just made me think I must've misunderstood or missed something.

Admit, if they were a band you'd all buy the CD

It's the new lineup of Rhapsody of Fire!

Question : Can Zombie dragons spit fire ???

One of my favorite scenes so far : when The Hound throws the stone slittering on the ice and the skeleton with the biker boots looks at it coming to a stop and decides to give it a try !

Melisandre looks like the lead singer who is out of fucks to give. Tormond and Bronn have to be drums and bass, both rarely sober. Brienne is on guitar and sick up putting up with the emo shit of the other guitarist, Jon Snow. Sansa plays keys and is so fucking stoned. And Ser Davos is the group's manager and he is just sick of the lot of them.

According the Dragon Glass issue, it was already made clear that Valerian (not sure about spelling) steel has the very same effect.

The undead dragon will most likely spit ice...

Some inbreed developing between Jon and Danny.... (He is the son of her older brother)

The whole "we kill every character in the show" is narrowing down (they have to keep some until the finale)

In this case in terms of Rock, paper , scissors I would say Fire beats ice, if he meets his brothers/sisters :-)

Not to mention that dragon-wise, it's still two on one. But will Viserion be able to freeze the others? Will it be like a bolt of ice, or icy breath that covers a larger swath? These are the important questions I need answers to!

Good call on the dragon "spitting ice".

At least with teleportation now part of the GoT universe, you won't have to wait long!

Makes you wonder why Dany had to wait for all those ships, she could have bounced her full army across the Narrow Sea in about half a day using teleportation.

My son, my Game of Thrones watching partner, is now at college! I'll have to watch the final episode (is there just one left to the season?) without him, but I guess we'll text each other a bit.

My wife said she'll watch with me. She watches occasionally, and enjoyed the last couple of episodes. Now that she sees it's not just soft porn.

I doubt we will see a dragon confrontation in the final episode. They have to close the season with a bang, and part of that will be bringing the undead to meet Cersi and seeing what she will do. I'm betting she does something that will only benefit Cersi (duh, not really reaching far here), but maybe Jamie will defy her and head to the north with his troops.

Yes, I could see Jamie finally turning his back on Cersei and completing his character arc. Whether that's in this season finale or sometime next season. With 80 minutes tonight, I expect we'll see most of the storylines touched upon. Curious as to what's up with Sam, as well as the Greyjoys. Obviously there will be advancement in the Winterfell goings-on as well. Pretty excited to see what's going to unfold!
