    Tony Conrad R.I.P.

Sad news. avant-garde composer/filmaker/artist Tony Conrad has entered the dream syndicate for the last time. He's probably best known for his work, Outside the Dream Syndicate perfromed with the German group Faust in 1973. I saw his Outside the Dream Syndicate played live last week at Big Ears Festival. Conrad was supposed to be there but cancelled for illness. It was performed at Big Ears by Faust. As brave a work in 2016 as it was in 1973. And incredibly powerful and immersive. http://tinyurl.com/gtgjfn7 #tonyconradrip

    RIP to a true innovator.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Outside the Dream Syndicate is one unique contribution to the world of "rock" music, that's for sure.

Shortlisting my old vinyl for play this upcoming weekend. This record itself takes time.

The "Outside the Dream Syndicate" performance at Big Ears might have been the weekend highlight for me. I like the record, hearing it in a club setting at those volumes kind of took the whole thing to another level.

I love Outside THe Dream Syndicate. Paid a fortune for a vinyl copy back in the 80s. Played the CD with the bonus track in memoriam.

How sad that all his work with The Dream Syndicate is locked up in La Monte's vaults.
