When they say they've "discovered lost prog epics from the 1970s", they're joking, yes?

I'm not so sure, seeing as the tracks are by "minor" bands and written as contracts were being dissolved, etc.

^ OK. I see the long piece is explicitly by Quill. I presumed they meant it in a joking, "we've recorded an album that sounds like it's from the 1970s" way, but they don't. They're playing lost epics by rather obscure bands. Er, interesting...? They're a good band, can certainly play well.

I guess I'm the only one who wished they had written "Jon/Juano Davison (Sky Cries Mary)" in stead of (Yes)". ;-)

By the way, he also played on one of the duo-recording from Jeff Greinke/Anisa Romero (the singer of SCM), "Hanna".

For me the 'lost prog epics' tag is irrelevant. My ears tell me this is a fantastic disc.

    Can't wait.

Will the album be available on Tidal pretty please?

The Samurai of Prog have truly created a time capsule back to the 1970's, wrapped in modern day audiophile quality. The '70's were the peak of the Progressive Rock era. The U.S.A. was a far less fertile ground from which Progressive Rock could develop and grow. Very few American bands took this difficult path. Yet the few that made the journey, if only for a few years, created unique and noteworthy music. I feel truly blessed the "The Samurai" resurrected "Inception", it was IMHO my best composition with LIFT. To say I'm blown away by the quality of the CD's and the massive effort put forth by so many musicians, would be an understatement. I know Tom Doncourt (Cathedral) and Ken DeLoria (Quill) share my appreciation and joy of having our Lost works, not just found, but resurrected and presented to a new audience some 40+ years after these compositions were last performed. ENJOY!

QUILL's lost opus... a request from Ken DeLoria

    Here's Ken's request from FB:

"Does anyone know where I can borrow (or rent) a pair of Mini Moogs in the CA north bay area? I will need them for about one week, for a recording project.
I can modify one or both to have select-able multi-trigger, like the big modular Moogs, or the single-trigger that is standard. Multi-trigger makes it easier to play very rapid passages. Thanks in advance for any ideas!"

The Samurai of Prog will re-arrange, record and release the unheard 54 minutes suite composed by Quill called "The Demise of the Third King's Empire"...

If any keyboardist from the CA north bay area can help it will be much appreciated :-)

I have their first three and will have this as well, just waiting for the third Decameron set to be released so I can order both at the same time.

I did not mean to imply anything. (I did see and include the date of the post.)

I merely referenced the old post as historical as it related to the new release.

My apologies for any confusion that it caused.

I really like Quill, Lift and Cathedral so this is a no-brainer.

There really were quite a few good to great American Prog bands back in the day.
