Everybody has at least one song that they think is perfect. Could not be improved. Here's mine.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
The perfect song to me is Starless, but that would be too common here at PE... This one is equally perfect to me and many may have never heard it. Its a simply constructed song with a hammond organ, but it has that hypnotizing effect that i like so much.

Still alive and well...
To me, this is the most perfect song and arrangement ever: The Move doing "The Last Thing on My Mind" from Shazam!

Looking forward to my day in court.

"My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician, and to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference"

Not "perfect", but pretty damn close to it.

I dunno.
Let's go with this for now.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.
Right now, I'm thinking The Flying Burrito Brothers' 'Hot Burrito #1'. I was knocked out by it the first time I heard it on the radio around 15 years ago, and I still am.
Far too many.... but here's the first one that immediately sprang to mind.
I've never heard of anything else in the thread except that Monkees ditty. Interesting.
The Young Rascals: Groovin.......................captures that '60's vibe perfectly.....2nd runner up....anything by The Hollies.

In that Burritos video, the bass player Chris Ethridge is miming the drums and the drummer Michael Clarke is miming the bass. Too funny. Hard to believe, of that 5-piece band, all are dead except for Chris Hillman.

Heard this on the radio this morning and it was perfect
Another - non- progressive gem...
Vinyl vs CD again... see comments
Being Dutch I will nominate a perfect song by a Dutch band:
