This new one won't sound anything like Keyholder - this is 3/4 of the original 70's lineup reunited. They are very consciously going back to what he described as an organic prog sound like on Inget Nytt Under Solen and Solo

Out of curiosity, what's the other album in your collection?

You must have an unusually killer collection.

Yes, indeed it is. Mistakes happen though and Keyholder is one of those.

I think "Keyholder" is way better than "Notes From The Past."

I haven't heard that one. I find that seventies Kaipa albums are quite pleasant (not great but good) but after Keyholder I have kept my distance from the band.

To me Anderson's vocals represent an upgrade over the vocals on a Flower Kings album.

Wow. I didn't think that was possible.

The More You know taught me a lesson to no longer have automatic buys, and I should have have learned that lesson with Toltec after the CD shop kindly took it back after I listened once.

I emailed "Yes Where Are They Now" in 1998 to let you know the name of the bonus track on The More We Know in Japan. I actually knew something Yes related before you did!

Thank you again for your contribution. The site relies on the group mind, on people round the world sending in news. It's never just me!

Everyone should hear From Me to You. It is a phenomenon. It eschews traditional musical form. Instead, it's loops over and over of birdsong with occasional vocalisations from Anderson. It is literally unlistenable. Although, to be fair to Anderson, he didn't intend to release it.

Really? I love all seven post reunion Kaipa albums - including Keyholder, which has the amazing "A Complex Work Of Art." Love that song.

I've never heard FMTY (I stopped auto-buying Jon's stuff around the time of The Promise Ring), but what you're describing sort of sounds like Angel's Embrace. I wouldn't consider that offensive as long as you're in the mood for Olias-y new age meditation background music. It's worse than that?
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

Way, way worse. Angels Embrace is recognisably music. There are pieces with melodies and stuff!

I don't really remember "From Me to You," but "The More You Know" is actually offensive to listen to. What was he thinking?!

If anyone wants to sell their copy of FMTY, maybe you could get a lot of money for it like this seller on Amazon is hoping for: https://www.amazon.com/Me-You-Jon-An.../dp/B001DGSFWU. $175!

Review from the above amazon link:

"I was going to listen to this driving through the Redwood Forest with the windows open, but was afraid that birds of prey would attack the car. I love Jon Anderson's music, but can't recommend this even to another hardcore fan. Sorry, Jon. Feel better!"

I've just looked up From Me To You, as it's one I've never heard either. The three album tracks are called:

    Songbirding
    Birdsonging
    Singsonging

    ... seriously!
