Thread: The 2016 NFL Discussion Thread

There are two ways it could go. He might indeed be great. Or he might be the product of a good system. I'm inclined to the former. Either way, he'd be stupid to not get all the coin he can right now.

I'd like to see the Giants make an offer, to see how he and Odell would get along then! However it seems the Redskins are going to make an offer and if he winds up there, the rivalry between them will get intense.

I think he's unproven. But unproven players are cashing in this off-season [coughcoughosweillercoughcough].

I'm hearing more and more that it's the latter. But, like you all are saying, he's going to get paid.

I don't see him as a shutdown corner. If he's placed on an island against the best receiver week-in/week-out I think he'll be exposed. I'd say the same about Sherman, but I think Sherman is a better player.

Depends who falls to the Ravens in the draft, they may make him an offer.

Agreed. He's really a one year wonder at this point, that I wouldn't say was the top of the line in his one big year. Though, as you said, players get paid off potential and plenty will want to drink from that fountain.

Schefter just reported that it's between Washington and New Orleans.

Two teams who should know better.

    Apparently, it's Washington.

    They never learn....

It will be fun to see him go against ODB twice a season, though.

I assume that was part of the sale.

Good to see some things don't change in Washington.

The 2nd Circuit just ruled for the NFL - the Brady 4-game suspension is back on.

Hope the Seahawks game at Foxboro is one of them (though I doubt it is)

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

It's a pretty favorable stretch for the Pats. First game is at Arizone (possibly would have been a loss anyway), but the next three are home games vs. Miami, Houston and Buffalo.

I realize that Brady is only fighting this on principle, but it would be for the betterment of his team if he'd just take his punishment. He already renegotiated his contract so that a four-game suspension would cost him about $1.8 million less than it would have last year, so it's not even going to cost him much money now.

He can stay home and play with the kids if he knows which wing of the palace the kindergarten is in.

    seems so!
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

The odds of Brady being a deeply principled man are even less likely than the odds that I'll vote for the Donald. Can the Pats buy off the Supreme Court?

There isn't a chance that the Supreme Court would hear this.
