Why would the Browns even attempt to win at this point.

Indeed. It looks like the only way they get that top pick is to go winless, because San Fran is almost as bad.

I'm old enough to remember the Browns 30 years ago. They were on their way to playing for the AFC Championship.

Yeah, and they won numerous championships in the 50s and into the sixties. They've sucked ever since the reboot, but that wasn't always the case.

I remember those Bernie teams of the 80s and how good they were, and how close they came. In some respects, it makes the current situation harder.

So if people want to take shots at them, have at it, they've earned it. But understand the whole story, and get the facts straight.

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Well the Seahawks game was a lot of fun, placed was packed and rocking with everyone wearing team colors, place was very noisy, had a great time, always good to crush Carolina even when they are awful. GO HAWKS!

We had them right where we wanted them at 9-24. We're like Wolverine or David Banner. We need to get kicked around some to wake up!

BIG game Thursday night! If only the Falcons could have held on and knocked KC back 2 games. The winner on Thursday takes over first place in the dvision. Raiders better not let the Chefs get up on them 24-9 or it's over and the only way to the playoffs is through the wild card route.

I like how Baker Mayfield, immediately after the game with Oklahoma State on Saturday, proclaimed "I'll be here for another year for the opportunity of a three-peat and the ultimate goal of winning a national title." All I could hear though was "another year with no money and the chance of a career ending injury is better than millions playing for the Cleveland Browns."

We paid a high cost for that when you consider losing Earl Thomas for rest of the season

Maybe, but I highly doubt that he was on the Browns' radar. He wouldn't be on mine.

Wonder if he's serious about retirement?

Injuries happen all the time no predicting when or where. He's certain to be missed.

This wasn't so much about the Giants beating Pittsburgh so much as Dallas losing to Minnesota (which sort of happened, but didn't on the scoreboard).

Anyway, I do think that the Giants will beat the Cowboys next week, though the game does not mean much of anything. The Cowboys will almost certainly win the NFC East regardless of what happens next week.
