Thread: Wigwam -- Early Finnish Progressive Band

The studio version of "Risto" is from his album Space Waltz which was the very first cd ever released from a Wigwam member, back in 1986 on the rare USA label Breakthru Records. I'm fortunate to have a copy. It also includes two bonus tracks from Everyman plus the A & B side of a single from 1982.

    Jukka Tolonen - Windermere Avenue

A little synth pop to get out of the muck of the last four days since Emerson died.

Just discovering Esa Kotilainen, who was a keyboardist in Wigwam and Tasavallan Presidentti.
He has some interesting ways of playing.

    Esa Kotilainen - Rantahiippailija

Wow. That looks awesome! Is Gustavson doing any lead vocals. I love his singing.

Also, I have that Live at Teku '74 (or was it '75) cd from Japan. It's awesome too.

Nope, I don't think so. That is from later-era Wigwam. I don't think that Gustavson has ever sang anything outside his time in Wigwam.

Really enjoyed that Made in Sweden clip. Pekka Pohjola was indeed a monster player. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic. To bad Pekka Pohjola is dead since 2008. Still miss him in a way.

All of Jukka Gustavson's many solo albums are worthwhile.
