I'm really enjoying the Ergo. Probably need to pick up the Empirical.

That Ergo album is great. Undoubtedly experimental jazz, yet contemplative, beautiful.

I think it's time to include some Cuneiform releases in my review list :-)

Ergo are excellent. It kinda opened yet another door in the Cuneiform roster (new/post-jazz sensibilities), now channelling stuff like Cellar and Point etc.

I need to hear that Empirical thing as well.

Boy, there's a LOT to grab onto there if you do. Of course, you'll need to go back a bit as well to fully grasp the depth and width of what's going on with all of these glorious artists Steve has championed through the years. The book has yet to be written - but it will eventually need to appear.

I could start in the book instead of the reviews then. Care for a Skype call, Steve? ;-)

Meanwhile enjoying the Ergo preview on Bandcamp. So far (second track) it's music to my ears.

And after listening the full album, hunting down the other three. Very nice stuff!

Until I read this thread, I thought 2/5 must have been a new innovative prog time signature. "Apocalypse in 2/5".
