More snow today in PA. For the love of God it’s April and baseball season. We’ve had enough.

    Yankees home opener snowed out!

We only got an inch or two, but I'm so sick of it.

I would gladly trade some of our 94 degree heat for some of the northeastern cold. Especially since I wrecked my car a week ago and will be taking the light rail to work downtown for the next few weeks.

    Ouchie!!! Hope you're ok.

We just bought a house with an awesome pool in N. Scottsdale. The backyard has a very nice entertainment area with bar and viewing area for projection screen. Going to enjoy the high temps once we install misters.

(Actually, it's like a humidifier for your backyard.)

Actually, misters are more like an outdoor evaporative cooler. Back in the day, most houses in the Phoenix area used evaporative, or "swamp" coolers. They work awesome when the air is dry, but during the summer monsoon when dew points get into the upper 50s to mid 60s, they don't work so well. For that reason, almost all residences now have a/c. Only old houses or apartments in low income neighborhoods still have swamp cooling.

I was mostly uninjured, except for 3 broken ribs from the seat belt. The car on the other hand suffered front end damage so extensive, the engine lost its oil, and the tranny its fluid.

Just wait until you see your July/August electric bills, after running the pool filter pump in addition to your a/c. But then, if you can afford to live in N. Scottsdale, you can probably afford a high electric bill.
