By day we're dormant
Because it's too hot outside now
Nocturnal notions (as we leave or cocoons)
Antennae tuned to inuman vibrations
Shading the cities of the world to come
I listen to the sound, the endless construction
Inside the termite mound

Jazzbo manqué
Saw them live once in the early '80s, at a club in San Diego...the part that stuck in my mind was Jaz Coleman stalking back and forth across the stage in a half-crouch, singing "Take Take Take"...gripping stuff.

A great first album that combines the maximalism of metal with the trebly dissonance of post-punk. After that, a quality gap until their fifth album Night Time, which displays a renewed interest in song craft. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns is indeed one of the finest albums of 1986.
