Sorry, no it wasn't but I couldn't resist. I'll make up for it now more in line with the spirit of the thread.

    Classic twee band branding:

Classic twee band posturing at the Spinal Tap level:

Classic progressive bromide vacuity also file "Symphony X V: The New Mythology Suite" under the pretentious category:

... and this one, words fail me, but I throw up in my mouth a little every time I see it:

P.S. The Happy the Man cover I think is great if slightly precious... but not twee unlike those completely vomitorious Iron Angel covers - I just know I'll hate the music even more than the cover art. Great!

How is the cover of Blackdance Twee?

^^^ Pawn Hearts isn't twee either. If you want a twee Whitehead cover I'd vote for Foxtrot! (Of course both albums are great).

I think an album cover can be twee and great. Happy the Man and Foxtrot both fill the bill for me.

This, however, is nothing but trouble.

And here's an ELP cover thumbnail size because it would be even more embarrassing to make it a larger picture...

A lot of these covers do have twees on them, I've noticed.

I'm not sure they're as much "twee" as "stupid".

    Mediocre prog from Spain.

Those are what I heard one preacher refer to as "the inflatable Christian hairdo."

Just about all of these fail by that measurement. Best to just forget the terminology here.

I actually don't mind that Symphony X cover. It's clever in a Magritte kind of way.

Twee - Excessively or affectedly quaint, pretty, or sentimental.

I disliked this album cover so much when I saw it back in the 1970's that the wretched thing has stayed in my mind ever since:

oh man, you should some of my reggae compilation albums.....some of them leave very little to the imagination, in fact there are books devoted to the subject, and I have a couple of them.

It's not the implied nudity or eroticism that bothered me. It's the over the top forced emotion.
