    No Wave

    Great show on BBC Radio 6 Music right now, it's the Iggy Pop show but this evening being presented by Kim Gorden, and besides her fav tracks, she's letting her No Wave and punk flag fly - Sonic Youth of course, but also DNA, Black Flag.A very eclectic mix, hearing a DNA track, followed by The Carpenters followed by the Sonic Youth cover of the same Carpenters track certainly is a very surreal listening experience.

    She's now playing Mudhoney, and during grunge and afterwards I could always hear the spirit of No Wave in certain bands like Mudhoney, Pavement, Dinosaur Jr.
