    A challenge. 1 letter = 50 artists

Can anyone pick any letter and honestly post more than 50 artists in their collection beginning with that letter.
Only one condition: It must be tangible merchandise containing music (no digital files) i.e. vinyl, 8-track, CD, MC, MD, DCC, SACD, DVD-A, DVD, VHS, BD etc.

I know I can come close on a few letters but not sure I can break the 50 barrier. I think my best shot in my collection would be B,C,S or T.

From your list I've got albums by the following. Also, going by the names in bold text on your list I must ask, did you order the Cardiacs box set for The Seaside? and if so, have you got it yet?

I have not ordered The Seaside box. I'll probably pick up the standard release. I see that Wayside just added it to their site.

I only have one Ship of Fools album on CD, "Close Your Eyes (Forget the World)".

Do bands whose names start with "The ..." get filed under T?

    Just thought I'd ask.

No, they don't, not in any shop (street or web) nor in any books that I've seen.

I don't know, but even if I do I'm sure as hell not typing them all.

I object anyway that digital downloads don't count. Why penalize those of us who have gone green by embracing "illegal" downloads?

    BTW, do physical bootlegs count?

I suppose so. Though, in the record shops around here they're both filed under Schenker.

Ok. Only 251 that start with an "S".

I roughly own 6.000 physical items of Music. Under the assumption that it will be 3.000 different Artists and equal allocation (which is very unlikley) that would be about 115 items per letter.

Or better: I'm to lazy to count...
