Hate to lose draft picks, but I LOVE the Clowe deal. Rangers sorely needed a guy to handle the Chris Neil's and Milan Lucic's of the East who can also chip in offensively. However, I'm a little surprised with the Gaborik one. I like all the players we got, but our big problem is scoring goals and we just got rid of a pure goal scorer (though he's been awful this year). We'll see what happens. I wish Gabby the best of luck in Colombus. He was a good Ranger. Maybe a change of scene will do him good.

Clowe is in tonight against PITT, but not sure about the others.

What do you think of that Clowe deal now?

Caps are 17-17 and one game out of first place. That's pathetic.

Caps are now in 1st by virtue of their games in hand on Winnipeg.

    Isles 7th...at least for today.

I had the pleasure of attending the Leafs/Flyers game last night where the fucking Flyers took out my boy Lupul. We finally got him back from an injury that had him out for 6 weeks and now this. No word yet on how serious the injury is or whether he'll be on the ice tomorrow night. My fingers are crossed that he's okay.

It should start getting very interesting from now on... Perennial playoff teams like the Flyers and Caps are starting to make their moves in the East. Who will drop out to make room?

Is that your team or the Leafs?

Habs looking like they'll get in but I won't be comfortable until they are mathematically confirmed in. You just never know....

Devils look read to throw in the towel. 40 something shots on Rask the other night and nothing goes in.

Not my team! Though we are a close second!

    Per ESPN, the Isles only have 3 games vs "quality"* opponents left (of the 10 on the schedule);
blueshirts with 6 'quality' games, devils 8 and maplebuds have 9!!

    * "Quality" per ESPN is a team that has more points than games played (i.e. averaging 1+pts per game)

Hey man, if you're challenging the Leafs to fall out of a playoff spot...they are totally up to the task!

I think they hang on this year. In fact, they'll get the much-coveted 6th spot.

That can only help the Devils. I think they've lost most of their games to the goddamn Florida teams.

The Sens have lost their last two and have looked pretty sloppy in doing so. Adding Conacher from Tampa Bay might help between now and the playoffs, but smaller players tend to play less important roles in the playoffs because the increase in physicality. The good news is two or three of the long-term injured guys should be back before the playoffs begin - Anderson, Michalek and possibly Cowan. There hasn't been much word on Spezza, so I'm starting to wonder if the disc surgery he had was actually successful.

I think they should be able to hang on to a playoff spot, even with the Flyers and Caps coming on strong. Once they're in, you never know. BTW, I think both the Habs and Leafs will make it, but probably not the Jets.

Any Rangers fan has gotta be happy getting 3 points out of the home-and-home with Pittsburgh this week, and they might have gotten all four if Fleury hadn't been so damn good tonight! But, having to listen to the Pens announcing team is absolutely brutal. "Steggie" isn't too bad, but Bob Errey is a joke. I don't mind homerism, every team's guys do it to a certain level. But ignorance is something else.

After the Rangers scored their goal, he was actually complaining that the refs didn't call a penalty on the Pens because the player taking the draw played it with his hand in the circle. And of course a giggling reference to a New York player going down "like the Empire State Building" is verrrrry classy What a jackass.

Bob Errey is as disgraceful as Jack Edwards out of Boston.

3 out of 4 against the all mighty Pens. We should have won if not for Fluery, but I'll take it with a big ass smile! What a jolt these new guys have given the team.

The Devils are done. They're toast.

    They're bologna without the mayo.

Brodeur came back too late, and Kovy will come back too late.

    It's a two-person team. Sucks.

I don't think the Flyers played today.

Or, at least, I don't want to think the Flyers played today.

This year's cancelled Winter Classic has been rescheduled for next January 1, in Michigan. It will again be the Red Wings v. the Leafs.

Had a thought during the stirring 1-0 Blues victory over the Wings - for the post game show, coach Ken Hitchcock should walk into an outline of his profile, just like Alfred use to

Use the same theme music too

    That would kick ass!

We were at the Air Canada Centre today for a Lacrosse game and they are already selling Winter Classic 2014 swag! Talk about making up for lost time! LOL.

And, in case anybody cares, the Toronto Rock Lacrosse team locked up their division title today. That guarantees them home floor advantage for the Division playoffs. Lacrosse playoffs are one game sudden death (or sudden victory as I prefer to call it). First playoff game is in three week. CAN'T WAIT!!!
