B's had a great season, way above initial expectations. Several pieces to put in place to make a real contender, but a good nucleus of young players to build around. Congratulations Bolts, the better team won, as I expected.

I'd love to see Winnipeg go far, but I think they're premature as well. I'm calling Nashville Pittsburgh, which isn't a particularly exciting series, but that's how I see it going right now.

Jets are gonna end it tonight! I'd like to see the Caps finally get past the Pens as well...

...so will the Caps and Jets seal the deal tonight? I have a gut feeling both games go to 7.

I guess I'd like to see Las Vegas win, from the teams who are left. Just for the sheer ridiculousness of the story.

Pretty much where I'm at. I'd be happy to see Laviolette win again, though.

In a move that surely surprises no one, the 'Canes have named Rod Brind'Amour as their head coach.

How it has happened is a little above my pay grade but kudos to the guys that put this team together. I was a nonbeliever that Vegas could become a hockey town and the people here have taken to it in a fashion I never thought was possible.

It's funny to watch a game with other people at whatever watering hole or restaurant, wherever as most people here are new to the game of hockey and don't really understand what they are seeing and how the game really works. I don't have the heart to correct them when they say something stupid. At my local pub at least everyone knows I'm one of the few that go in there that have actual knowledge and they don't poo poo me when I tell them something.

It's ridiculous now but just wait until the frikkin Raiders get here then it will be bedlam. At least most of that will be far away from where I live so I won't have to deal with it, thankfully.

You're half right... I think the Jets may have let the series slip between their fingers with that loss last night...

Yeah, winning a game seven in Nashville is a tall order, especially for a team with relatively little playoff experience.

It has been a series of surprises so maybe they find a way.. If they lose, I'm pretty much done for this season. Don't really care for any of the remaining teams.

I have mixed feelings on the series.

Lavoilette was the coach who briefly made the Isles relevant in the early aughts and Casa MudShark always respected him (even when he was in philly)

But I am generally supportive of the non-eastern conference Canadian teams (sort of having out of conference NFL or MLB secondary faves).

But I started with the Jets up thread and I'm sticking with it, though I also kinda agree with Yves' assessment too.
