The word on McDavid is he has a fractured clavicle and will be "out for months". I hope this does not become his legacy. A potential superstar who is always hurt.

Free Mark Stone!

Man, what an awful game last night. The Leafs were horrible. They were passing the puck around like a shinny hockey game. No control, no strategy that we could see, no plan. It was just abysmal. Reimer made some great saves, but overall it was a really awful effort. The best team definitely won...and deservedly so. Yikes!
The fans are another story. Maybe it was the section we were sitting in, or maybe it was that there were so many Jets fans there that Leafs fans felt the need to drown out the Go Jets Go chants, but the crowd was into it. The energy is still alive at the ACC in spite of a performance that was barely better than my 15-yr-old nieces team.
Habs haven't played at The Forum in 20 years.

Sinden's quote surely refers back to the glory days of the Canadiens. I seriously doubt that the teams from the 70s needed the refs in their pockets to beat the Bruins at home. If Sinden hadn't been such a stingy mofo during his tenure his teams may have had more success and he wouldn't have needed that lame ass excuse...
I watch nearly every one of the Habs games and they get officiated just like everyone else; some calls go their way and some don't. That's hockey.

Oh dear, I hope I haven't kicked a hornet's nest here.

Not at all... We're all fans of our respective teams and look for conspiracies against them (and for other teams) wherever we can. We all know (or hope to believe...for the integrity of the sport) that, in the end, no franchises are being favored over others. You start going down that road you just become Shadow( see: NFL thread), and then why even still watch a sport at all? To think that the Habs, or any team in any sport, gets preferential treatment by officials is a tad paranoid.

Besides, we all know that the NHL has had it in for the Flyers since the Broad Street Bullies days.

And rightly so!

But only we are gifted with the eyes to see

That angels, we could be

Yes but I'm a Habs fan. We're the NHL darlings. We Habs supporters have been brainwashed to always support the league and in exchange the visiting team always takes the first penalty when they play here. I thought you'd already figured this out. Harry Sinden did...and where is he now?

Great article about the late Flyers great Pelle Lindbergh, 30 years tomorrow after his untimely death.

A very sad, sad day in Philadelphia sports history. R.I.P.

He was the at the top at his position when this occurred. Very tragic...
Not quite so tragic but a real head scratcher is wtf is ailing Price! He has the famous "lower body injury" and he has needed to seek an opinion outside the Habs medical staff. This tells me that there might be some sort of surgery involved. We better get used to seeing Condon in net!
