Many, MANY Thanks, From The Administrators

It started when we discussed shutting down the chat room.

It finished with an awe-inspiring donations drive in which PE's members once again showed what a wonderful community we have here.

Every donation is deeply appreciated, and we owe a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated in the past, and in the recent campaign.

We'll definitely be okay with our hosting and other expenses in 2016, and part of the following year as well. And according to my math I'm confident that the normal flow of donations will allow us to take care of the coming years, and PE's future is secure.

It appears that one of the reasons the donations had slowed down was that the auto-generated reminder letters were no longer being sent as regularly as they had in the past. I've been working on that but have not yet found any reason for the change, and I might have to generate reminder letters manually going forward. So if you receive 2 reminders (one that we send and one from the system) please understand that we aren't "nagging" - we're just trying to make certain that reminders are sent regularly.

    Again, many, many thanks.
    Regards,

    Duncan

this place is the best place for all interesting electric music whatever one might like to call it
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Great if you can re-jig the remiders. I've come to rely on them!

Does it matter that this waste of time is what makes a life for you?

As a relative newcomer around here I was unaware that donations were keeping the PE machine humming along and am now wracked with guilt about not helping out and yet I derive an obscene amount of pleasure from the many knowledgeable contributors and other like-minded weirdos found in these environs.

Keep up the great work. It is noticed and it is appreciated.

With all the work this site requires (from upgrading to maintenance), you shouldn't have to worry about it getting funded. I definitely need reminders yearly and I was glad to contribute once again.

Thanks for all the effort then, now and then again!

The "thank you's" are all ours. This site is a haven for me, "the one fixed point in a changing world."
