I think this is more the norm than the exception. Most folks only know or like certain songs by certain bands they hear and do not want to spend a bunch of money exploring the band in depth. Not implying close mindedness, but not every band ignites a desire in someone to run out and buy all of their albums.

It's called outrage as humour. Please don't make the mistake of thinking that anything I write on this forum means that much to me. It's just music. I like a laugh. :-)

I'd like to call it and say "we all own or we have all owned a copy of DSOTM" even copied onto cassette or cd-r from an original source.
I have never owned it in any way, shape or form(at).

    SEBTP = Yep
CTTE = Yep x7 now that I have Progeny
Didier = No - Should I get it?
DSOTM = Sort of, I had it on Tape once. Now I have a digital copy on some hard drive somewhere. I like Money, the rest I've heard enough
King Crimson = Yes to both, but I like RED a whole lot more.
The Beatles = I Don't have Let it Be (and I don't want to) the rest I have. I really liked the BBC sessions and would recommend those to any fan. They could play some Rock & Roll in those days
    Shalom Riot, uh no
Aqualung = Yes TAAB = Yes but Benefit / Stand Up are the favorites
    801 Live = Yes
Who's Next = No actually, I had a tape once. Now I have 30 Years of Maximum R&B. And Live at Leeds

So the question becomes, what CD made after 2000 should all prog fans have

Bob, I think you might be onto something there, generally, rather than just post-millennium. But I would suggest Stupid Dream, because (in the UK at least) that was their breakthrough album, that was their After the Gold Rush, their Parklife, their Meddle, their Fragile, their Night at the Opera, their Number of the Beast, their 2112 ... not necessarily their best album but certainly their first huge, widespread, radio played, "the public are now aware and onboard with us" album.

Nope. Don't have anything by Torcupine Pree (but two Steve Willy albums, which I quite like...)

FOABP happens to be my favourite, but Stupid Dream is great too, as are most of the others. Not to be picky though, but wasn't that album 1999, i.e. pre-millenial?

I never heard of Parklife and looking it up I found out who it was by, but I'm not sure I've ever heard anything by them.

If you were listening to any kind of alt. rock/indie radio channel in the 90s you WILL have heard Blur.

This seems perverse, to the point of unbelievability. Have you ever eaten cornflakes, watched "Friends" or owned a Ford? Do you have a belly button?

I'm sure I must have heard it, but I'm not aware of it specifically. Edit I just checked youtube, and it definitely sounds like something that would have made me change channels.
