The DVD is very good, bears repeated watching.

I haven't watched the DVD yet, but I have seen snippets of the concerto live on YouTube. I totally agree that seeing and hearing is much preferred to just listening.

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

I just ordered it from the band, they're having a big pre-sale and I got it for $11.50, shipping included. Looking forward to it, their albums just keep getting better and better to my ears!

I was gobsmacked when I saw them at Progday and bought the 2012 Concerto album.

I'm with Geezer. I didn't think I'd like these guys at all, but their Progday performance floored me. The diversity of the material was amazing that it all worked so well together. I bought the Concerto CD from them right after.

The talent floors me, I haven't listened in awhile, need to revisit. The only thing I remember is not caring for the guitarists lead tone, but that's a personal thing.

I thought the ProgDay show was great, and I have that Concerto CD or whatever it is.

The new album is pretty much an autobuy but I will wait untill it shows up on bandcamp.

I also want to give a big thumbs up to the album Omphalos. It is worth your money for the opening track (Ra) alone, which is one of the best things they've done. The rest of the album ranges from good to okay. Ra is fantastic and luckily enough it is, with more then 13 minutes, also the longest track on the album.

Yes, a fantastic but sadly underrated band.
Very refreshing and different, this is how "modern" prog should sound. Should also please some R.I.O/chamber rock afficionados.
Carlos Plaza is a great composer and his "Concerto" is their best work so far (IMO).

The best (live) version of the Concerto was the Kennedy Center concert, unfortunately it has been removed from their website and only some fragments are available on YT:
(if you know an active link for the full concert please post it here)

And an incredible version of Simurgh, a more "proggy" track with amazing guitar play.

And there's Adriana (Plaza), not only a pleasure for the ears...

They were great at Progday. I wish I had known about the Kennedy Center show.

Big fan. It all started with Cosmology -- a fantastic album that I reviewed on PA. The track "Mechanical Universe", in particular, got me hooked to their musical ethos. A musical drug, they are.

Well said, Wiz. I fell for Kotebel's Cosmology the same way.

Can't help but thinking of UZ with this track.
