Dear Friends and Family,

Wow, what a crazy week. We have spoken with some of you personally and have been able to reply to some of the hundreds of messages we have received and are so sorry we have not been able to reply to all, so we thought we would give all of our friends a brief update on the past several days since the fire.

Horror, fear, and sadness were equalled but the immediate realization that our son was safe and we were safe, overpowered all other emotions!

Last Saturday evening, Gary was playing at a local venue with 2 of his bands, WAKE UP CALL, and OUTSIDE THE WALL. After a great night of music and friends, all hell broke loose. Our good friend and neighbor, Elena, who had been at the show, called Ginger to let her know that our house was on fire. Doug offered to drive us home immediately.
We arrived home to seven different fire companies doing their best to contain the fire despite the difficult task of maintaining enough water to do so.

First the house went up and when we arrived it was already spreading over to the studio. We watched in horror and disbelief but were again glad that nobody was in the house and that our ten year old son, our world, Gabriel was safely staying at his friends Joey's house.

Many of our friends , our brother, Paul and neighbors were there with us to comfort us and help us through this most tramatic experience and have continued to be by our side since the fire.

We have been overwhelmed by the love and support we have received this week as we slowly build our lives back. Meals, clothes, cash and gift cards have been coming at us from all angles and it has helped us tremendously these first few days.

Day one, we are only thinking about toothbrushes and Gary and I getting out of evenings clothes...A few days in when the shock wears off and people stop coming around it really starts to hit, that this is a long term thing. And that we need everything.

They have not yet determined the cause of the fire and there are still meetings with fire Marshall's and insurance adjusters. We will be alright.

In the mean time we are together and have a one bedroom loft as of two days ago, courteous of dear friends, Len and Bonnie, and their family.

We continue to be amazed and appreciate the efforts of an army of friends and families near and far.

We would not be getting through this without all of your love and help. We can't thank you all enough for all of the well wishes, messages, gifts, clothes, etc... and for all fo the upcoming events be planned.

Now that we are a little more settled, we will try to keep everyone more informed. We are trying to stay in touch with everyone one on one but our cell phones are dying too fast and too often throughout the day.

As We sit here in this one bedroom, we are so grateful, maybe holding more gratitude than we have in our entire lives for all that we have, even if a fire took our materials.

Much love to all of you now and always.
