I've been listening these past two weeks, and it's a grower for sure. But there's a certain impression that they're trying to maintain the factor of "charm appeal" yet still venture into somewhat more challenging terrain, a process which at times may render parts of the the music sounding a bit restrained as the two approaches could perhaps be seen as mutually exclusive. Of course, acts like Picchio dal Pozzo and the Rascal Reporters mastered the middlepath rather well, but with Homunculus it appears a quirky task.

I enjoy it all the same, though.

Love both albums but the second one more. And Udi did another amazing job in the studio with this one.
