Hi,
I just saw Mythes et Legendes Vol 1 for the first time and this piece struck me, particularly since I've never heard of it before. Anyone know the history of this tune?

As far as I can tell, it's a Jannick Top composition that band played live circa 73-74. Two versions appear on Inédits, a compilation of live tracks that appeared in 77. Does anyone know if a studio version exists?
^ I don't have Inedits, so that would explain my ignorance of the piece.

No, there is no studio version of this. But there is a killer live version with Top... which has sadly disappeared from youtube. This was a 1974 version with absolutely earthshaking bass on it.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.
